Back, neck and shoulders for two
45 minA shorter visit for the places that hold the week. Neck, shoulders and the whole back, each of you at your own pressure.
Couples massage in Charleston
Two therapists and one quiet room on Wentworth Street. Each of you chooses your pressure, each of you is draped, and either of you can say stop.

The room
A walk through the suite, so you know where each of you will be.
Wide enough to give each of you space, close enough to hear each other breathe. Two therapists, one for each of you, working at the same time.
Your therapist asks before starting and checks in again partway. Light on one table and firm on the other is an everyday request.
A sheet covers you the whole visit. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and then it is covered again.
Say stop, lighter or firmer at any time. Your table stops or changes at once, and the other carries on only if you both want it to.

The menu
Pick a length when you book. Each of you can ask for a different kind of massage.
Two tables, two therapists, working at the same time.
A shorter visit for the places that hold the week. Neck, shoulders and the whole back, each of you at your own pressure.
Long, flowing strokes over the whole body, light to medium. The classic first visit together.
Slower, firmer work where you ask for it. One of you can take deep tissue while the other has Swedish, if you like.
Time for the whole body, then a few quiet minutes before you get up. Our usual choice for an anniversary.
Every session is for the two of you together, each at your own pressure.
Fifteen minutes more on one area, added to any session above.
Seated at the head of the table, your therapist works the scalp, neck and shoulders while the sheet stays over the rest of you.
Book: Scalp and neckCalves, the backs of the knees and the feet, one leg uncovered at a time, then covered again.
Book: Feet and calvesAdded at the same time for both of you. Prices show when you book.
Prices are set by the length of your visit and shown on the booking page before you confirm. A deposit holds the two tables.
Both are licensed by the state of South Carolina. Ask for one of them by name when you book.

Owner and licensed massage therapist
Laurene opened Twain after years of working with couples one at a time in rooms built for one table. She takes the first visits and the anniversary bookings, and works at a medium to light pressure that she checks again halfway through. She speaks English.

Licensed massage therapist
Don works slowly and firmly, and has a patient way of finding what a week of desk work or garden work has left in the shoulders. Many of our weekend guests ask for him. He speaks English and Japanese.

For couples who like having a date in the book. Choose how often, and your two tables are held ahead at the hour you pick.

Sample reviews
“We booked it as a surprise and it was the calmest two hours of our year. We each got the pressure we like, which never happens at home.”
“We were in town for the weekend and wanted something slow. Neither of us felt rushed, and we left holding hands and not talking.”
“Her side was firm and mine was light, and nobody had to explain why. Being asked first made all the difference.”
“It's a small room and a quiet one. I liked that we could say stop and mean it, and that the sheet never moved without a word.”
